Quo Vadis Bolivian government?

Certainly that is a very intriguing question for 2012. This cartoon appeared in El Diario, January 3, 2012. Where is the Bolivian government going to????

Since this political party and current coca-grower and president started to govern, back in 2006, there are many of the “original” members of this government who are no longer there. In fact, many “strong” affiliates have left and some continue to do so… as the government’s ship continues to sail with a dangerous “hole” on its side… president’s acceptance is low, very few new sustainable and productive employment was generated and Bolivian society and the World are beginning to see this government with a different lens.

So, it is evidently a good time to reflect and acknowledge the need to revert all the hatred and egocentrism around a single indigenous denomination. We are mostly mestizos and as such we are one nation.

I hope Bolivia re-inserts in the global economy of this 21st century, I hope Bolivian youth continues to study and all workers continue relentlessly to work on behalf of their families. We owe nothing to anybody, and nobody owes us anything, we are here to survive, we are here to progress, to move forward. We must learn from old and recent mistakes, we definitely must evolve!
