Viticulture moves $us 107 million, according to study
The annual consumption of grapes, wine and singani [Bolivian “vodka” made with grapes], who are part of the most important productive chain in Tarija, generates $107 million dollars, which represents 0.5% of the national gross domestic product (GDP), according to the report by Captura Consulting. Captura’s report reveals that the productive chain of grapes, wine and singani brings to the Treasury General of the nation (TGN) $14 million dollars in taxes, which meant 0.3% of total revenues.
