The Foreign Trade Bolivian Institute (IBCE), has released today this chart, which reflects the trade with the European Union, from 2005 – 2010 (p) and January through December 2011 (p); in millions of dollars.

Bolivia has been pushing to create markets among its political allies, while markets are elsewhere, the EU is a best example; what needs to be done now is to explore better incentives for our industries to broader this market.
For 2010, Bolivia sold to the European Union around 418 products, for a total of 677 million dollars which included: zinc, silver, Brazil nuts, tin and alcohol.
Imports from the EU totaled 3,481 products in 2010, for a total of 491 million dollars, being the main: gas turbines, tractors, industrial furnace, motor vehicles and organic bio-compost.
