In Bolivia and most of Latin America, this is the day we celebrate the arrival of the Three King’s (Tres Reyes Magos), Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar to Bethlehem. Little Jesus was offered gifts: Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh.

Over 40 years ago in Bolivia, this was the day that children received their Christmas gifts, unfortunately a tradition that is fading away. This is the day that Catholic believers take their Little Jesus to Mass, since today is a Friday, this Sunday, January 8, Bolivian Catholic Churches will be filled with beautiful images of Little Jesus.

In English  they say Happy King’s or Happy Wise King’s day, in Spanish I say to all of you Feliz dia de Reyes!!!
