Today, citizens from Calamarca (famous for its colonial beautiful paintings) have decided to blockade the road between La Paz and Oruro. They are demanding that their mayor Yesin Luin Mamani, be freed. Mamani faces trial since January this year. He was found with two kilograms of cocaine and charged for that alleged felony.
Blockaders affirm it was a setup and demand he be freed. Originally, Mamani was free and continued to work, then another judge overruled former one and ordered his arrest. Apparently the accused broke the ruling, about contacting municipal councilmen regarding with his accusation.

Again, whole Bolivia loses as the blockade impedes traffic. There is growing tendency to take the law on their own hands or at least try to impose their preferences.
