The authorities have reminded the population that January 22 marks a rise to power by the Movimiento al Socialismo party and that for this reason it has been arranged to be a “national holiday”; that is, “holiday”. For the population there can be no holidays when they remember days when the implementation of more division was ordered, when by decision of the masista chief, grudges and more hatred were implanted in the population, when approaches in the Bolivian family seemed to be practically forgotten, which needs understanding among its members and acting together for the sake of better days for the nation. Consequently, what celebrations can be talked about when there were days when mourning and pain became part of the life of the population? In addition, the fear of the authorities tends to be accentuated by the policies implemented by the MAS, which knows nothing other than fueling hatred between classes, due to their antagonistic positions.
Threats, resentments, hatred, class differences and increasingly divided positions are observed in the current situation. What unit can the President of the Republic speak of, who seems to be determined that only his party be valid. What national unity can be flaunted when there are fears spread throughout the country? What factors of unity and production in rural areas are you talking about when there are many people who complain about attitudes against each other? When many live behind and are against it because the governmental powers are far from fulfilling their duties to produce in the countryside and guarantee work in the cities.
Compared to situations of forty or fifty years ago, when there was fear or susceptibility to possible coups, now there is relative calm because the population is aware that coup threats and other extremes have disappeared. And it is that the population is against recalcitrant left or right extremism that has caused so much damage in the country.
Peace and harmony are needed, understanding among all, cohesive and productive work, solidarity. However, it is noticeable that the behavior of the authorities does not go in this direction, since apparently they prefer the imposition. President Arce is not very conciliatory and seems to be on the defensive, although there are no dangers that are going to arise in any sector of the population. He is, therefore, the Chief Executive who must assume conciliatory roles and not show himself harsh and fearful in the face of imaginary blows. He would have to feel safe and conciliatory; In addition, when he refers to a coup d’état or is sure of a plot, he must prove it with evidence and dismiss the comments that “heat his head”, without letting him work.
Las autoridades han recordado a la población que el 22 de enero se recuerda un ascenso al poder por el partido Movimiento al Socialismo y que por ello se ha dispuesto que sea “feriado nacional”; es decir, “día festivo”. Para la población no puede haber días festivos cuando se recuerda días en que se dispuso la implantación de más división, cuando por decisión del jefe masista se implantó rencores y más odio en la población, cuando prácticamente parecían quedar en el olvido acercamientos en la familia boliviana, que necesita comprensión entre sus integrantes y actuar unidos en aras de mejores días para la nación. En consecuencia, ¿de qué festejos se puede hablar cuando hubo días en que el luto y el dolor se hicieron parte de la vida de la población? Además, el temor a las autoridades tiende a acentuarse por las políticas implantadas por el MAS, que no sabe otra cosa que avivar el odio entre clases, por sus posiciones antagónicas.
Amenazas, resentimientos, odios, diferencias de clases y posiciones cada vez más divididas son observados en la situación actual. De qué unidad puede hablar el Presidente de la República, que parece estar empeñado en que solo tenga vigencia su partido. ¿De qué unidad nacional se puede hacer ostentación cuando hay miedos diseminados en todo el país? ¿De qué factores de unidad y producción en las áreas rurales se habla cuando hay muchas personas que se quejan por las actitudes de unas contra otras? Cuando muchos viven postergados y son contrarios porque los poderes gubernamentales están muy lejos de cumplir deberes para producir en el campo y garantizar el trabajo en las ciudades.
En comparación con situaciones de hace cuarenta o cincuenta años, cuando había temor o susceptibilidad por posibles golpes de Estado, ahora hay una relativa tranquilidad porque la población tiene conciencia de que amenazas de golpe y otros extremos han desaparecido. Y es que la población es contraria a extremismos de izquierdas o derechas recalcitrantes que tanto daño han causado en el país.
Se necesita paz y concordia, comprensión entre todos, trabajo cohesionado y productivo, solidaridad. Sin embargo, se nota que no van en ese sentido las conductas de las autoridades, ya que al parecer prefieren la imposición. El presidente Arce se muestra poco conciliador y parece estar a la defensiva, aunque no se vislumbra peligros que vayan a surgir en algún sector de la población. Es, pues, el Primer Mandatario quien debe asumir papeles conciliadores y no mostrarse ríspido y temeroso ante golpes imaginarios. Él tendría que sentirse seguro y conciliador; además, cuando se refiera a golpe de Estado o tiene seguridad de complot debe demostrarlo con pruebas y desestimar los comentarios que le “calientan la cabeza”, sin dejarlo trabajar.
