Santa Cruz responded to the call of the Committee and thousands attended the meeting at the feet of Christ the Redeemer
The president of the Pro Santa Cruz Civic Committee, Rómulo Calvo, was the one who directed the National Cabildo in the department. During his speech, he launched some phrases that kept the attendees expectant at each of the consultations.
Here are the 10 phrases of the day:
- “They have ordered the Police to massacre Santa Cruz, and in this criminal massacre they have already taken a life (Erwin Chávez Durán).”
- “We don’t want this Police. We don’t want criminals disguised in uniform. We don’t want a Police at the service of the dictatorship. We don’t want a Police that protects oppressors, we don’t want a Police that insults and massacres us.”
- “In Bolivia, abuse is already an institution. A MAS institution. And the MAS government has been in charge of consolidating it.”
- “Instead of seeking justice, in Bolivia we have to flee from it. Justice persecutes us, frightens us, extorts us, deprives us of liberty. This government kidnapped her to create insecurity and impose a regime of terror. The judicial system , in the power of an oppressive communist government is the main instrument to apply state terrorism”.
- “The structural crisis in which justice is mired cannot continue. Its treatment and solution cannot be postponed. We cannot wait any longer; nor can we wait for the solutions to come from the government.”
- “This is the Cabildo for freedom, for the freedom of each one of us and that is personified in the unacceptable, illegal and abusive kidnapping and imprisonment of our current governor, Luis Fernando Camacho.”

- “We want a single candidacy to defeat the dictatorship! A single united candidacy to put an end to oppressive communism, a single candidacy to recover freedom and restore peace and justice.”

El presidente del Comité Cívico Pro Santa Cruz, Rómulo Calvo, fue quien dirigió el Cabildo Nacional en el departamento. Durante su discurso lanzó algunas frases que mantuvieron a los asistentes expectantes a cada una de las consultas.
Aquí las 10 frases de la jornada:
1. “Han ordenado a la Policía masacrar a Santa Cruz, y en esta masacre criminal ya se llevaron una vida (Erwin Chávez Durán)“.
2. “No queremos esta Policía. No queremos delincuentes disfrazados de uniforme. No queremos una Policía al servicio de la dictadura. No queremos una Policía que proteja avasalladores, no queremos una Policía que nos ultraje y nos masacre”.
3. “En Bolivia, el abuso ya es una institución. Una institución MAS. Y el gobierno masista se ha encargado de consolidarla”.
4. “En lugar de buscar justicia, en Bolivia tenemos que huir de ella. La justicia nos persigue, nos atemoriza, nos extorsiona, nos priva de libertad. Este gobierno la secuestró para crear inseguridad e imponer un régimen de terror. El sistema judicial, en poder de un gobierno comunista opresor es el principal instrumento para aplicar terrorismo de Estado”.
5. “La crisis estructural en la que se encuentra sumida la justicia, no puede continuar. Su tratamiento y solución es inaplazable. No podemos esperar más; tampoco podemos esperar que las soluciones vengan del gobierno”.
6. “Este es el Cabildo por la libertad, por la libertad de cada uno de todos nosotros y que está personificada en el inaceptable, ilegal y abusivo, secuestro y reclusión de nuestro actual gobernador, Luis Fernando Camacho”.
7. “Con él, también está preso nuestro voto mayoritario en las urnas. Más de 800 mil votos están cautivos en una cárcel paceña. Nuestra soberana decisión, nuestro mandato electoral departamental, ahora guarda reclusión en Chonchocoro. ¡Eso sí que es golpe! No podemos permitirnos tanta humillación”.
8. “Este gobierno ha convertido el país en una cárcel. La libertad es un mito; la justicia, una quimera. Pero aún no han aniquilado nuestra esperanza y la fe. La única forma de recuperar la democracia es con nuestra unidad. Y porque la unidad nos hará libres”.
9. “Que ese sí rotundo y contundente se escuche en cada rincón del país, que se convierta en agenda de cada día, que esté en todas nuestras oraciones, recordemos a cada boliviano que tenemos un compromiso y una exigencia”.
10. “¡Queremos una sola candidatura para derrotar la dictadura!, Una sola candidatura unida para acabar con el comunismo opresor, una candidatura única para recuperar la libertad y devolvernos la paz y la justicia”.
