MISSION ARRIVES IN LA PAZ
Costa Rica will advise on geothermal energy
Costa Rica Energy authorities will sign in Bolivia an agreement to support the South American country in developing its geothermal resources.
The president of the Costa Rican State Electricity Institute (ICE), Carlos Obregon, will head the mission that will travel to La Paz on Monday [02/23/2015] to finalize the agreement that emerged after the request of Bolivian President Evo Morales, during the recent summit of the Community of the Latin America and the Caribbean States (ECLAC). The agreement “is a great recognition and an excellent opportunity to convey to the Bolivians, the technical experience we have gained over more than 40 years of geothermal studies” said Obregon.
According to a statement from ICE, the mission will visit two geothermal camps of the Empresa Nacional de Electricidad (ENDE), while in La Paz will present the experience developed by Costa Rica in its power generation projects of volcanoes. 93% of the Costa Rica energy matrix comes mainly from hydro renewable sources.
This news is great and far more important, eco-friendly and sustainable than the stupid-egocentric idea of current president with nuclear energy!
