Unfortunately, cocaine is not the only drug being produced in Bolivia, now there is a new crop in town…

For the last thirty years we have experienced an upward trend in coca production; now marijuana is also giving us the unfortunate leadership on its production. According to the UN, Bolivia went from producing 8.5 tons in 2003 to 1,937 tons in 2009. Which represents an increase of around 228 times during a six-year period. Which equals to an annual growth of 147% in six consecutive years.
