Potosi, specially North and South Lipez, two provinces where there was heavy snowfall and very low temperatures, around minus ten degrees Celsius have isolated people who are in urgent need for help. Touristic places like green and red lagoons and the salt lake panes of Uyuni are among the most affected. An estimated one meter high of snow fall is covering around 25,000 square kilometers.

7,000 inhabitants from these two provinces; an unfortunate undetermined number of tourist (both national and international); around 50,000 cattle (mostly llamas and sheep); and ten park rangers do need assistance. The government is trying to help them, although current resources may not be sufficient.
