Áñez is in detention, accused of having led a coup against Evo Morales, who was removed from office in November 2019, amid accusations of fraud and a deep political crisis.
Ten days ago, a judge extended Áñez’s preventive detention for a further six months, just over a week after the former president completed five months in detention.
