Jeanine Áñez’s daughter denounces that they want to kill her mother

Kathleen Hammond, Vegan News:

The daughter of Jeanine Áñez, former interim president of Bolivia, denounced this Saturday that they want to kill her mother, demanded to see the results of the medical examinations that are carried out and to be informed in her state of health.

“They are risking my mother’s life. What they want is to kill her and that is the despair I have as a daughter. I just want to know that she is fine, because physically she looks very bad. I want to see the results of all the medical evaluations that they do to him, that they inform me what they are doing to him, that they tell me how he is, “said Carolina Ribera.

Áñez is in detention, accused of having led a coup against Evo Morales, who was removed from office in November 2019, amid accusations of fraud and a deep political crisis.

Ten days ago, a judge extended Áñez’s preventive detention for a further six months, just over a week after the former president completed five months in detention.

In a video made public on her networks, the daughter of the former president warned that they do not let you know the results of clinical examinations.

He gave as an example of the mismanagement towards his mother, detained since March, that this Friday they had to transfer her to the German Clinic to undergo examinations, but it was decided take her to another place without notifying her relatives.

“It breaks my soul to see my mother suffer so much. They took her elsewhere, without telling me that I am her daughter, without giving us any information“Ribera said.

Áñez was detained on March 13 in Trinidad, capital of the Beni department, and then transferred to the city of La Paz, where two days later she was imprisoned in the Obrajes Women’s Orientation Center (COF). On March 20, she was taken to the Miraflores prison for her health problems, where she is now locked up.

At first, four months of preventive detention were ordered against him for the alleged crimes of terrorism, sedition and conspiracy, but then the measure was extended to six months, and the charges of resolutions contrary to the Constitution and the laws, and breach of duties were added.

On Wednesday, the former senator was taken to the Thorax Hospital, where she underwent an examination that concluded that she suffers from hypertension and anxiety depressive syndrome.
