The former president of the Potosinist Civic Committee (Comcipo), Marco Pumari, stated that a leadership clique within the Movement for Socialism (MAS), in its desperation, believes that Senate President Andrónico Rodríguez represents a forced renewal.

“The clique of leaders and opportunists of Masismo, who have exploited the State for more than 20 years, are desperately looking for a new boss to bow down to. @AndronicoRod represents a forced renewal only to maintain their privileges. They have no interest in the country,” he said.

Two weeks ago, demonstrations of support intensified for the president of the Senate and vice president of the Coordinadora de las Seis Federaciones del Trópico de Cochabamba. Although Rodríguez has stated that he will respect the organic decisions of social organizations, there are still groups, deputies, and senators who favor him as a presidential candidate.

Evo Morales has been proclaimed a presidential candidate; however, his electoral future remains uncertain due to the constitutional ruling that prohibits non-consecutive candidacy. His supporters argue that the Political Constitution of the State recognizes non-consecutive reelection.

Regarding Luis Arce’s candidacy, no political decision has been made yet. The president has left the matter in the hands of social organizations.
