National Survey: What do Bolivians say about the country’s economy and their families?

The National Survey conducted by Captura Consulting asked citizens from the 9 departments about their perception of the country’s economy.

Economic issues will be a challenge for potential candidates running in the upcoming general elections on August 17. The National Survey conducted by Captura Consulting asked three questions to the surveyed citizens, and these were the perceptions revealed in the UNO DECIDE segment during the program Que No Me Pierda (QNMP).

  1. Do you think Bolivia is better or worse than a year ago?

A resounding 97% of the surveyed population stated that Bolivia is worse off; 2% perceive that it remains the same, while 1% indicated they did not know.

  1. Is your economic situation and that of your family better or worse than a year ago?

68% of the surveyed population stated that their family’s economy is worse compared to 2024; 18% indicated that their situation remains the same; 12% said their situation has improved compared to last year, while 2% said they did not know.

  1. And a year from now, do you think Bolivia will be better or worse?

48% of the population believes that the economic situation will worsen within a year; 25% foresee an improvement; 17% preferred not to comment on the matter, while 10% say it will remain the same.
