¡Apocalypse MAS! – ¡Apocalipsis MAS!

By RUDDY ORELLANA V., Los Tiempos:

Evo Morales Ayma always has a problem for every solution!

His verbal incontinence and anthology-worthy outbursts lead him to splatter, like acid rain, his closest surroundings and, of course, his entire militancy.

I have always believed that Evo’s main enemy is Evo himself and, for a couple of years now, also his own Movement for Socialism (MAS).

He has become a kind of reverse King Midas, everything he touches and says turns into misery and defeat, respectively.

Caudillos never have the courage and bravery to face their sad decline, they are cowards even for that. Their fate is that of those who bow down alone with their gaze lost on the horizon that, despite not being able to see it, they invent, pretending to continue being a strong, tacit, de facto figure.

Nostalgia for power turns them into a constant danger to freedom and plurality of ideas. They no longer see beyond their noses, but they want to keep commanding, ordering, deciding, hoarding, and condemning. They never resign themselves to not being obeyed anymore. They babble, stumble, and finally fall.

That is the fate of the transitory power of caudillos with whips and boots. History has amply demonstrated that the end of madness, as titled in a novel by the Mexican writer Jorge Volpi, is a slow agony and a constant fear of society that the creature will reincarnate in others. The end of madness is, above all, a metaphor about the fate of the false left and its smoke sellers who almost always get burned playing with their own fire. But sooner or later, the madness of the caudillo comes to an end, not through a cure, but through oblivion and contempt.

Evo is an intimate enemy of Evo, of democracy, and of MAS itself. Every time he speaks and orders, he subverts the truth and reality. He completely disfigures transparency and forces logic towards a shocking absurdity. He obeys an obstinate egocentrism. He shoots point-blank what he thinks and feels.

All his interventions produce a hilarious joke and end in an uncontrollable loss and political wear that affects his own militancy. Evo and the strictly Evo-ist MAS have hit rock bottom and, therefore, intend to drag the Arce wing down as well. There remains the need to restructure the blue party, to make it less electrifying, more democratic and participatory, but above all, free and respectful of dissent and the law.

What a paradox!

Morales has worked laboriously to sink his own party. Today, MAS languishes. Its political infrastructure and ideological structure have completely collapsed. Only the loud outbursts of the boss remain, who, without fear and without learning his lesson, continues to clash with his own militancy.

The truth, sooner or later, imposes itself on the junta. The monolithic party ends in a tombstone, in a “ch’ampa war,” like the tragicomic case of the current MAS, or in oblivion.

The politics of the senseless is reflected in their actions more than in their words. However, the words of the demagogue always become enchantment and a dogma that serves to co-opt, while the actions are their failed acts and therefore make supreme justice and are absolutely uncontrollable.

Demagogues, egotists, and tyrants never self-examine, they live in a parallel world. For them, the truth is a target to shoot at.

Lies are their center, their heart, and their lungs. The truth is uncomfortable! It must be killed!

Just as the boss destroyed many things in this country: dissent, plurality of ideas, freedom of the press, young leadership, ethics, morality, and the opportunity to renew figures with a new discourse within his party.

“The politician can pay the intellectual. But he cannot trust him. The intellectual will end up dissenting, and for the politician this will always be a betrayal. Malicious or naive, Machiavellian or utopian, the powerful will always believe they are right and that anyone who opposes them is a traitor or, at least, someone dispensable,” notes the writer Carlos Fuentes in his book “The Eagle’s Chair.”

It only took 14 years and MAS to dismantle the little social, political, and cultural fabric that existed in the homeland.

14 years of nothing!

14 years only for a handful of VIP thieves!

14 years with everything to make this country stable, with a strengthened economy and unbreakable institutions. Nonsense! Today, Sisyphus’s stone rolls back to the beginning of everything.

In the end, the 14 years of government are the perfect summary of classic heist movies, gangs, injustices, drug trafficking, soap operas, scams, scandals, and lies: “Rat’s Nest,” “Training Day,” “The Sting,” “Band Apart,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “The Departed,” “Body of Lies,” “Scarface,” “The Perfect Heist,” “Reservoir Dogs,” “L.A. Confidential,” “The Godfather,” “Lolita,” and much more.

Blessed are the petty free-riders, for theirs will be the glory of having sunk a party!

Blessed are the elites, for in them the loot was and will be left!

Blessed are the poor in ethics, for theirs will be the wealth of all that was stolen!

Blessed are the rich in immorality, for they will always carry the poverty of the stolen!

Blessed are the populist parties, for deep down they know how to distribute misery very well!

Blessed are the thieves, for theirs will be the cave and eternal oblivion!

Blessed are the unjust and perverters, for theirs will be the embassy chair!

Blessed are the sycophants, for they have already secured a place in the kingdom of impunity!
