General crisis of the Plurinational State | Crisis general del Estado Plurinacional

Editorial, El Diario:

The so-called Bolivian Plurinational State has reached a general crisis, that is, in economic, political, ideological, and moral levels. For this reason, today it finds itself in a dead end, it has hit rock bottom, which cannot help but cause a feeling of anguish and bewilderment in the majority of the national population.

This terminal crisis worsens more and more, because there is no salvation to solve numerous problems caused by populist policies for about 15 years, and also by past historical precedents, although, in comparison, these last ones would be insignificant in relation to the present.

In any case, the current crisis has responsible parties and specific causes that have been pointed out for some time by public opinion, without being addressed by the authorities in office. On the contrary, they let them go by due to irresponsibility or indifference. Even in the face of this calamitous situation, it was said: “He who sows the wind, reaps the whirlwind” and other similar phrases.

In other cases and under much less difficult conditions than the current ones, there were overseeing entities that, as soon as they perceived that problems were looming in the country, intervened immediately to save the ship of the State and return to normalcy, an exemplary behavior that currently does not exist.

The current decline is so evident that the Executive Branch is absent from reality, the Judiciary is completely decomposed, in agony, and the Legislative is in a complete state of chaos. Consequently, the Plurinational State is nonexistent.

At the beginning of this century, the country’s situation was abnormal, but with the government of the MAS-IPSP, the situation worsened, without forgetting that the brief transitional government of Jeanine Añez also showed no capacity in managing the supreme interests of the country. All of this made the political reality of the past return, which has led us to the current chaotic situation, in such a way that the country must start anew, to regain the correct course of its history, with a realistic government that convenes a Constituent Assembly and enacts a new Political Constitution, in order to correct all the mistakes contained in the current Magna Carta, whose approval has been contentious and questionable.
