The president of the Permanent Assembly of Human Rights (APDH), is giving Bolivians an invaluable lesson and, before the masistas kill her, because that is what they want, it is convenient that we take note of each one of those classes, which do not appear in the books, nor are they contemplated by any ideology, much less by political parties, which are not only in danger of extinction in Bolivia, but are hollow, due to a lack of conviction, lack of principles and a total lack of meaning of service to the people.
At 84 years old, the activist is an example of vitality. Any of our professional politicians, parliamentarians, authorities, civil servants and bureaucrats who dedicate themselves to warming up the seat, perfect “money earners”, without ideas and without blood in their veins, wanting only to steal, would like to have the strength of this woman who has been fighting for the most important cause of democracy for 50 years and has faced military dictators, the excesses of democratic governments and has also raised her voice to confront a regime that calls itself popular but that it has destroyed justice, which represses, kills and tortures to perpetuate itself in power.
Coherence is precisely another of Carvajal’s professorships, a leftist militant, but one that she does not discriminate when it comes to fighting for those who suffer abuse of power. She is the exception in Bolivia, dominated by defectors, by politicians skilled at turning a blind eye in certain situations, acting out of convenience, using double standards at all times and becoming cover-ups, even with rapists, drug traffickers and corrupt people because, ” between oxen there are no gorings”.
Evo Morales in the front row, should be a student of Carvajal, receiving instructions on how to be brave, how to face armed men, shock groups, policemen and thugs who have no mercy or consideration despite her advanced age. She is about to complete two months in vigil, in the middle of the street, out in the open, suffering from the cold and enduring the rain. She is a victim of torture, harassing her and even limiting her access to basic services. Anyone in her shoes would have given up and run by now. If Luis Arce were even ashamed, he would immediately order the removal of the thugs he ordered to take over the headquarters of the APDH, an institution that he wants to make an accomplice in his government’s outrages.
The most difficult lesson for the ruling class, for politicians, masista militants, social movements, the police and all those who hold any position in Bolivia: dignity. All of them have lost their human condition, power has alienated them, they act with brutality, with extreme cruelty and in a group they are like vandals without ethics or law.
The dehumanization into which they have fallen is leading them to ally with criminals, to become an immense band of limitless criminals, dominated by low instincts and for this reason it bothers them that Amparo Carvajal shows them that it is still possible to become people again.
La presidenta de la Asamblea Permanente de los Derechos Humanos (APDH), nos está dando una lección invalorable a los bolivianos y, antes de que la maten los masistas, porque eso es lo que quieren, conviene que tomemos nota de cada una de esas clases, que no figuran en los libros, tampoco las contempla ninguna ideología y mucho menos los partidos políticos, que no sólo están en peligro de extinción en Bolivia, sino que están huecos, por ausencia de convicción, carencia de principios y una falta total de sentido de servicio a la gente.
A sus 84 años, la activista es un ejemplo de vitalidad. Ya quisiera cualquiera de nuestros políticos profesionales, parlamentarios, autoridades, funcionarios y burócratas que se dedican a calentar el asiento, perfectos “ganaplata”, sin ideas y sin sangre en las venas, con ganas sólo e robar, tener la fuerza de esta mujer que viene luchando por la causa más importante de la democracia, desde hace 50 años y que se ha enfrentado a dictadores militares, a los excesos de los gobiernos democráticos y que también ha levantado su voz para enfrentarse a un régimen que se hace llamar popular pero que ha destruido la justicia, que reprime, mata y tortura para perpetuarse en el poder.
La coherencia es precisamente otra de las cátedras de Carvajal, una militante de izquierda, pero que no discrimina cuando se trata de luchar por los que sufren abuso de poder. Ella es la excepción en Bolivia, dominado por tránsfugas, por politiqueros hábiles para hacer la vista gorda en ciertas situaciones, para actuar por conveniencia, usar la doble moral a cada instante y volverse encubridores, asì sea con violadores, narcotraficantes y corruptos porque, “entre bueyes no hay cornadas”.
Evo Morales en primera fila, debería estar de alumno de Carvajal, recibiendo instrucciones de cómo ser valiente, cómo enfrentarse a hombres armados, a grupos de choque, a policías y malvivientes que no tienen piedad ni consideración pese a su avanzada edad. Está por cumplir dos meses en vigilia, en plena calle, a la intemperie, sufriendo de frío y soportando la lluvia. Es víctima de torturas, la acosan e incluso le limitan el acceso a los servicios básicos. Cualquiera en su lugar ya hubiera renunciado y huido. Si Luis Arce tuviera un mínimo de vergüenza, ordenaría inmediatamente el retiro de los malvivientes que mandó a tomar la sede de la APDH, institución a la que quiere convertir en cómplice de las tropelías de su gobierno.
La lección más difícil para la clase gobernante, para los políticos, los militantes masistas, los movimientos sociales, la policía y todos los que ejercen algún cargo en Bolivia: la dignidad. Todos ellos han perdido su condición humana, el poder los ha enajenado, actúan con una brutalidad, con extrema crueldad y en grupo son como vándalos sin ética ni ley.
La deshumanización en la que han caído los está llevando a aliarse con los criminales, a convertirse en una inmensa banda de malhechores sin límites, dominados por los bajos instintos y por eso les molesta que Amparo Carvajal les demuestre que volver a ser personas todavía es posible.
