Dialogue must be sincere and with all sectors
After the Government’s call to the guild merchants for a dialogue on Saturday, the governor of Santa Cruz, Fernando Camacho, asked the government authorities that this dialogue be transparent and sincere and that it include all sectors that ask for the repeal of Law 1386, to fight against the legitimation of illicit profits.
On Thursday, the fourth day of indefinite strike to demand the repeal of Law 1386, a mobilization called by the merchant guild sector and backed by transporters, neighbors and doctors, among others, the Minister of Economy, Marcelo Montenegro invited the guilds from the country to a meeting to be held this Saturday, November 13, in the city of Cochabamba, to discuss the questioned rule.
“The only way out that we all see, to get out of this crisis that the country is experiencing, is only with dialogue, but it has to be a sincere dialogue, depending on the request of the people, it has to be transparent. The merchant guild members have received overwhelming support from their people, some stopping, others marching and others blocking, but they have done so,” Camacho told Unitel.
When asked whether other sectors should be included in this dialogue, Camacho replied: “Of course, without a doubt, not only the merchant guilds and transport sector, they started the protest, but there are also other sectors that have accompanied them and, out of respect for the sectors, all the unions should sit down and thus demonstrate openness, without hiding anything from anyone.”
Camacho argued that the demand of the sectors that meet with the Government should be aimed at the repeal of the “package of laws” that go against the rights and constitutional principles of citizenship, in addition to the restitution of two-thirds of the votes for certain legislative actions in the Assembly.
The Governor of Santa Cruz indicated that the intermediation of the Catholic Church in this dialogue would be positive, because it has an impartial point of view and is always in favor of social peace and the unity of the Bolivian people.
Another aspect that was highlighted by Camacho is the fact that the indefinite strike is growing in the country, contrary to what the Government believed that it sought to “intimidate” the population with the Bolivian Police.
“(The strike for the Government) has been, rather, a reversal of the defined action, the people have been to the streets. It is not with a stick, intimidation or with vandalism groups: it is with dialogue, the Government has to listen, the President (Luis Arce) belongs to all Bolivians, he cannot govern only for the MAS and create a law to repress the people and have them seized from the neck with that package of laws,” said the Santa Cruz authority.

Diálogo debe ser sincero y con todos los sectores
Tras la convocatoria del Gobierno a los gremiales para un diálogo el sábado, el gobernador de Santa Cruz, Fernando Camacho, pidió a las autoridades gubernamentales que ese diálogo sea transparente y sincero y que incluya a todos los sectores que piden la abrogación de la Ley 1386, de lucha contra la legitimación de ganancias ilícitas.
Al cumplirse este jueves el cuarto día de paro indefinido para exigir la abrogación de la Ley 1386, una movilización convocada por el sector gremial y respaldada por los transportistas, vecinos y médicos, entre otros, el ministro de Economía, Marcelo Montenegro invitó a los gremiales del país a una reunión a realizarse este sábado 13 de noviembre, en la ciudad de Cochabamba, para dialogar sobre la norma cuestionada.
“La única salida que vemos todos, para salir de esta crisis que está viviendo el país, es solamente con diálogo, pero tiene que ser un diálogo sincero, en función del pedido del pueblo, tiene que ser transparente. Los gremialistas han recibido el apoyo de su pueblo de manera contundente, unos parando, otros marchando y otros bloqueando, pero lo han hecho”, declaró a Unitel Camacho.
Al ser consultado sobre si en este diálogo deben estar incluidos otros sectores, Camacho respondió: “claro, sin duda, no sólo el sector gremial y transporte, ellos empezaron la protesta, pero también hay otros sectores que les han acompañado y, por respeto a los sectores, deberían sentarse todos los gremios y así demostrar la apertura, sin esconder nada a nadie”.
Camacho sostuvo que la demanda de los sectores que se reúnan con el Gobierno debe estar encaminado a la abrogación del “paquete de leyes” que van en contra de los derechos y principios constitucionales de la ciudadanía, además de la restitución de los dos tercios de votos para determinadas actuaciones legislativas en la Asamblea.
El Gobernador de Santa Cruz indicó que sería positiva la intermediación de la Iglesia Católica en este diálogo, debido a que tiene un punto de vista imparcial y siempre está en pro de la paz social y la unidad del pueblo boliviano.
Otro aspecto que fue destacado por Camacho es el hecho de que el paro indefinido va creciendo en el país, contrariamente a lo que creyó el Gobierno que buscó “amedrentar” a la población con la Policía Boliviana.
“(El paro para el Gobierno) ha sido, más bien, una reversa de la acción definida, el pueblo ha sido a las calles. No es con palo, amedrentamientos o con grupos vandálicos: es con diálogo, el Gobierno tiene que escuchar el Presidente (Luis Arce) es de todos los bolivianos, no puede gobernar solo para el MAS y crear una ley para reprimir al pueblo y tenerlo agarrado del cuello con ese paquete de leyes”, acotó la autoridad cruceña.
