Authoritarianism or megalomania? what is WRONG with current president?!

Like “big mouth” Venezuelan presidents (existing and previous one), Bolivian president has the tendency to believe he is the messiah and just speaks out whatever happens in his mind… this time threatens the NGO world… is it a sign of a democratically elected government that turned into an authoritarian regime? is it a sign of megalomania? in any case, our country, our society has to endure living under this ochlocracy.

THE PRESIDENT POINTED OUT THAT HE HAS INFORMATION THAT SOME CONTINUE TO “CONSPIRE”

Evo threatens to expel NGOs

2013-12-03 08.40.03 amPresident Evo Morales yesterday threatened to expel from the country, those non-governmental organizations (NGO) who conspire against his Government, as he did with U.S. cooperation.

“I want you to know, if there are some NGOs, already we are getting aware, if they continue to conspire as the Embassy of the United States, we will have to close and expel those NGOs who come to conspire against this democratic and cultural revolution”, he said at a ceremony with peasant women in La Paz.

The ruler expelled from the country last May to the U.S. Agency for International Development, USAID, accusing it of plotting against his Government, which that agency and the Executive of the United States rejected.

With the same accusation of conspiracy, Morales expelled already in 2008 the then U.S. Ambassador Philip Goldberg and to the anti-drug American Agency (DEA); and U.S. replied that year by expelling Bolivian Ambassador Gustavo Guzmán.

Morales has also accused several times to Washington and to various NGOs, which according to him receive American money, of conspiring against his Government with indigenous people who marched from Trinidad to La Paz to reject the construction of a road through the TIPNIS in 2011.

The President confirmed yesterday that allegation to insist that these NGOs, whose names are not specified, “financed the March of 2011”. According to Morales, these entities “use”peasants and trade union leaders “for purposes of some, not for all”, or to split the unions.

He recognized there that “there are some good NGOs”who want to participate, which are subject to the (social and Trade Union) organizations, helping”.

The President inaugurated the headquarters of the Federation of women farmers Bartolina Sisa in La Paz and delivered a vehicle to the trade union organization.

“Is an obligation as a union leader to understand this demand to have its own office and home, not only for the benefit of the social movements, I found some municipalities without municipal House. “Some mayors functioned in the Catholic Church, at the Union headquarters, some rented private houses, have begun to equip ourselves with infrastructure”, explained.
