SOS villages launches virtual cards for Christmas
Within the package of Christmas products made by Aldeas Infantiles SOS [Children’s Villages], introduced yesterday, contained the sale of custom e-cards that can be bought between Bs500 and Bs2,000.
Alfonso Lupo, National Director of the institution, reported that the new offer is that the person or an interested company make an economic contribution for a unique postcard design, bearing the logo and the seal of Aldeas Infantiles SOS.
Types and costs of cards. Fernando Pinaya, director of revenue of the Organization, said that there are three types of designs: semi-animated, whose price is Bs595; animated Bs1,095 and custom made Bs2,195.
He explained that apart from the Christmas novelty, the entity offers traditional Christmas cards, in 20 designs for Bs3 each one. Wall calendars at Bs15; cups, with images called ‘moments of happy childhood’, Bs35 per unit.
Also, he explained, there are ‘purse hangers’, in two designs, Bs35; agendas Bs55; stickers Bs20; cell phone screen cleaners at Bs10 and finally bags at Bs21.
The destination of the resources. The National Director of Aldeas Infantiles SOS [Children’s Villages], said that with the sale of the products is estimated to raise Bs1.5 million; money that will be invested in support of more than 14,000 children which houses the institution at the national level.
Of this children said Lupo, 1,500 live in foster care of children’s villages, “I mean, they stay until their age of majority, they are children with whom we assume greater responsibility.”
Also mentioned that more than 10,000 children are within the programs of family strengthening, in children’s centers, “because of that, resources go exclusively and solely for the benefit of these children in a direct way to ensure their food, education, health and clothing”.
For 20 consecutive years, Aldeas Infantiles SOS makes the campaign fot Christmas season with the sale of products.
