While this long-awaited reaction, finally happened, I don’t understand why this or any government needs to debate anything. Please remember that TIPNIS stands for: Indigenous Territory and Isiboro Secure National Park. Thus, the territory belongs to those indigenous people living inside; furthermore, it is a National Park so there should not be any, I repeat ANY road infrastructure inside a sovereign land and ALSO a National Park!!
Therefore, and to clear: good that government decided to stop the road; NO need to debate anything. Let’s just hope this is not an irresponsible act to just lower the pressure the government has created on themselves.
