This cartoon is from La Razon, September 6, 2011. As you know, uncontrolled fires are polluting Bolivian air. The cartoon reads above “heat spots” Between the animals talking you can read “Forestry Reserve, El Chore” The toucan says “I can see the coca growers are protecting the forest from the loggers” and the monkey replies “They will soon protect TIPNIS against the indigenous people.”

It is sad to see how coca growers in Chapare, Cochabamba; Yungas, La Paz and in many places in Santa Cruz, they are burning the forest, in preparation of coca crops.
