Is the Bolivian society pervasive or permissive regarding coca-cocaine or other drugs?
This article from El Dia, recalls all the negative and violent activities of the narcotraffick in Bolivia. Not only is violence presents but also society’s pervasiveness regarding how some individuals go up in the society structure, simply because they have influence, power and lots money. This cartoon reflects how they are viewed by most of the citizens.
If Bolivia does not do something against it, we will turn inevitably like Colombia and Mexico. The article recalls how this drug trafficking is producing more and seizures of their cargo, no longer surprises us.
What worries me the most is how we are “killing” our youth and labor force. Bolivia is not the type of country where we acknowledge easily our mistakes, let alone our drug addict relatives or friends. We have the tendency to “hide the trash under the carpet,” and I would say we have a huge problem already but we walk in the streets as if nothing is already happening.
