The former director of the Indigenous Fund, Elvira Parra, described her arrest this Monday as unjust, carried out within the framework of the investigation into the embezzlement of resources from this institution, and pointed to Nemesia Achacollo, Lidia Patty, and Felipa Huanca, of whom she said “they were a team.”
Parra stated that Lidia Patty should clarify what destination she gave to the resources that were disbursed to her from the Indigenous Fund that she had requested.
“She requested it; no one forced her. Doña Nemesia (Achacollo) also approved and authorized it. Doña Nemesia, doña Lidia and doña Felipa were a team,” Parra declared.
PATTY IN PRETRIAL DETENTION
Former congresswoman Lidia Patty is being held in pretrial detention in a case linked to the Indigenous Fund. According to the investigation, the former legislator received close to 700,000 bolivianos in her personal accounts for the execution of a project for tomato and potato production.
In addition, there is a second case also linked to the Indigenous Fund. In this investigation, Patty is accused of having received 650,000 bolivianos for a honey production project.

La exdirectora del Fondo Indígena, Elvira Parra, calificó de injusta su aprehensión producida este lunes, en el marco de la investigación por el desfalco de recursos en esta institución y apuntó contra Nemesia Achacollo, Lidia Patty y Felipa Huanca, de quienes dijo “eran un equipo”.
Parra señaló que Lidia Patty debería aclarar cuál fue el destino que le dio a los recursos que le fueron desembolsados del Fondo Indígena que ella había solicitado.
“Ella ha solicitado, nadie le ha obligado. Doña Nemesia (Achacollo) también aprobó y autorizó. Eran equipo doña Nemesia, doña Lidia y doña Felipa”, declaró Parra.
PATTY CON DETENCIÓN PREVENTIVA
La exdiputada Lidia Patty cumple detención preventiva por un proceso vinculado al Fondo Indígena. De acuerdo a la investigación la exlegisladora recibió cerca de 700.000 bolivianos en sus cuentas personales para la ejecución de un proyecto para la producción de tomate y papa.
Además, existe un segundo proceso también vinculado al Fondo Indígena. En esta investigación se señala a Patty de haber recibido 650.000 bolivianos para un proyecto de producción de miel.
