The former director of the Indigenous Fund, Elvira Parra, described her arrest this Monday as unjust, carried out within the framework of the investigation into the embezzlement of resources from this institution, and pointed to Nemesia Achacollo, Lidia Patty, and Felipa Huanca, of whom she said “they were a team.”

Parra stated that Lidia Patty should clarify what destination she gave to the resources that were disbursed to her from the Indigenous Fund that she had requested.

PATTY IN PRETRIAL DETENTION

Former congresswoman Lidia Patty is being held in pretrial detention in a case linked to the Indigenous Fund. According to the investigation, the former legislator received close to 700,000 bolivianos in her personal accounts for the execution of a project for tomato and potato production.

In addition, there is a second case also linked to the Indigenous Fund. In this investigation, Patty is accused of having received 650,000 bolivianos for a honey production project.
