Putting the House in Order | La casa en orden

By El Diario:

For the country to start moving forward after the two infamous decades of MAS rule, the house must be put in order, President Rodrigo Paz repeats in the early hours of 2026.

The goblins must be expelled, the ghosts, everything left behind by the party of the cocalero Morales after taking everything with them, beginning with the dignity of national institutions.

The goblins of corruption continue to operate within the public administration, which they exploit to delay as long as possible the implementation of the urgent reform measures of the new government.

Decree 5503 includes policies that still have not been applied because the MAS web remains the owner of many institutions.

The schemes of extortion against taxpayers, which MAS applied with such zeal, are an essential part of the income of the corrupt class and have not been eliminated despite the decree ordering it.

The decree provided for the forgiveness of tax debts, but the MAS goblins refuse to give in because these are their sources of income.

The fines invented by the ATT to harm radio and TV media that criticized the MAS mafia remain intact and have not been annulled by the scope of the forgiveness decreed by the new government.

The mafias infiltrated in municipal offices throughout the country extort citizens by blocking zoning and building-line procedures, thereby also paralyzing investments and preventing the creation of jobs in the construction sector.

All this is part of the takeover of all the country’s institutions by MAS mafias that acted like an occupying army and devoted themselves to outright vandalism, with regulators working in combination with criminals to extort Bolivians and foreigners in any interaction with the state.

In the task of putting the house in order, the government must deal with union structures corrupted by MAS, such as the COB itself, whose leaders refuse to disclose the amount of the salaries they receive.

The mafia of mining cooperatives is one of the most powerful and harmful, as denounced by the residents of Guanay, a town affected by illegal mining operations.

Other “cooperatives” serve as a disguise for Chinese mining companies that exploit gold in the rivers of the Amazon basin, which includes the elimination of taxes.

The task of the new government is gigantic. It has found a country in ruins, as those who succeed the dictatorships of Cuba and Venezuela will find in their countries.

  • The good: Is that the government has ordered the forgiveness of tax debts, as a clean slate in the relationship between the State and citizens.
  • The bad: Is that the MAS members who remain in the public administration obstruct the application of this measure because they want to continue collecting from their extortions.
  • The ugly: Is that this reality, in which MAS corruption has not completely disappeared, continues to drive away foreign investment and discourage domestic investment.
