Impunity, the Mark of Morales | Impunidad, el sello de Morales

By Carlos Toranzo Roca, Brújula Digital:

Evo Morales is blocking Bolivia’s roads to obtain impunity in the trials for statutory rape and trafficking that were opened this year against the pedophile from Chapare. It is false that he defends the interests of the country or Bolivian democracy; simply put, Morales seeks impunity. He was accustomed to it during his years in power, protected by the state apparatus, including Luis Arce, who helped conceal many of the former president’s crimes.

But the history of impunity for the “Jefazo” goes back many years. His ex-girlfriend Margarita Terán, a coca grower leader from Chapare and a drug trafficker, was involved, along with other people from Chapare, in the murder of a police officer. She was not prosecuted; her crime remained unpunished thanks to Morales’ protection. He also shielded her from drug trafficking investigations; once again, impunity prevailed.

The embezzlement of the Indigenous Development Fund, which was used to co-opt peasant leaderships through patronage, remained unpunished due to the protection of the “Jefazo.” His regime imprisoned, tortured through 256 legal cases, and led to the death of Marco Aramayo, who dared to denounce these embezzlements. This murder, because that’s what it was, also remained unpunished.

The former president of the Bolivian Road Administration, José María Bakovic, was subjected to multiple trials and constant transfers between La Paz and Santa Cruz, which eventually led to his death; this crime remained unpunished under Morales’ government.

The same happened with the imprisonment of Fernando Kieffer, who did not receive a fair trial and died without ever regaining his freedom. All of this was possible thanks to the impunity with which Morales and his government operated.

What happened to the scandal involving the Chinese barges? Nothing; the scheme was protected by Morales, who granted impunity to the perpetrators.

Morales claimed to have a son with Gabriela Zapata and swore that he supported him, paid alimony religiously, which was confirmed by Álvaro García Linera, who asserted that the “Jefazo” was a responsible father.

However, Morales later denied having had that son, and that crime also went unpunished. Gabriela Zapata, being Morales’ partner, also enjoyed impunity; she benefited from immense influence peddling to earn outrageous amounts of money acting on behalf of the Chinese company CAMCE, where she was a commercial manager.

Evo Morales gave the order for the extrajudicial executions at the Hotel Las Américas. His government, with the help of Venezuela and Cuba, staged the separatism case. This setup and the murders, for which Morales was responsible, remained unpunished.

The “Jefazo” is responsible for the increase in drug trafficking activities in Bolivia; he used and continues to use Chapare as a place where the state is absent, which has increased the presence of foreign drug cartels. This assault on the country also remains unpunished.

In 2019, Evo Morales was responsible for a monumental electoral fraud. He used the Supreme Electoral Tribunal at his whim and falsified the voting results. This crime went unpunished, and even more: the coward who fled to Mexico created the narrative of a coup d’état.

Morales encouraged blockades that year and ordered that food should not enter the cities; this crime against humanity also remains unpunished.

Together with Arce, he spent one billion dollars on lithium exploitation using a technology that does not work; this crime against the Bolivian economy has also remained unpunished.

The depraved pedophile has violated many girls, many of whom were handed over by their own parents in Chapare to gain political favors from Morales. He currently faces trial for statutory rape and trafficking, but once again seeks to remain unpunished; that is why he is blocking Bolivia’s roads.

Morales and the people who defend him are simply immoral.
