They claim that masismo has postponed La Paz
In response to the statements made by President Luis Arce Catacora about the need for La Paz to regain its hegemony and become the leading economy in the country, the deputy for Comunidad Ciudadana (CC), Alejandro Reyes, stated that after almost 20 years of the Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) in power, the ruling party has only postponed the region, relegating it solely to public service.
Reyes questioned the President’s understanding, emphasizing that Bolivia is now a state with autonomies, where each department must exploit its potential for its own development.
“He doesn’t realize that Bolivia is no longer a centralized state but one with autonomies, where each department has to recover, oversee, and ensure its development through its productive vocation,” he said.
Referring to the president’s words and his plans for departmental development, Reyes stated that the department of La Paz is not going through its best moments, as the MAS’s nearly 20 years in power have “postponed this city, relegating it solely to public service.”
“The corruption and the deinstitutionalization of the State caused by masismo have led us to the point where we are today in the department and the municipality of La Paz, practically in disaster and without a direction or horizon to look toward,” added the legislator.
Given this, Reyes affirmed that those who owe La Paz and its people are the president and MAS for having squandered resources and postponed the region.
Over the weekend, President Luis Arce Catacora stated that his government has designed a development plan for the northern part of La Paz with the objective of establishing a productive hub that allows the department to regain its hegemony and once again become the leading economy in the country.

Aseguran que el masismo ha postergado a La Paz
Respondiendo a las declaraciones del presidente del Estado, Luis Arce Catacora, la necesidad de que La Paz recupere su hegemonía y sea la primera la economía del país, el diputado por Comunidad Ciudadana (CC), Alejandro Reyes, señaló que, tras los casi 20 años del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) en el poder, el partido oficialista solo ha postergado a la región hasta relegarla solo a la función pública.
Reyes cuestionó que el Primer Mandatario no haya terminado de comprender que el país ahora es un Estado con autonomías, donde cada departamento debe explotar sus potencialidades en favor de su propio desarrollo.
“No se da cuenta que Bolivia ya no es un Estado centralizado sino con autonomías, donde cada departamento tiene que recuperar, vigilar y ver por su desarrollo a través de su vocación productiva”, dijo.
Asimismo, haciendo referencia a las palabras del mandatario y sus planes para el desarrollo departamental, Reyes afirmó que el departamento paceño no atraviesa por uno de sus mejores momentos, ya que en los casi 20 años del Movimiento al Socialismo en el poder, “se ha postergado a esta ciudad, relegándola solo a la función pública”.
“La corrupción y la desinstitucionalización del Estado provocado por el masismo nos llevan al punto en el que estamos hoy en el departamento y en el municipio de La Paz, prácticamente en el desastre y sin un norte o un horizonte al que podamos mirar”, agregó el legislador.
Por lo expuesto, Reyes afirmó que quienes están en deuda con La Paz y su gente son el presidente y el MAS por haber despilfarrado recursos y postergar a la región.
El fin de semana, el presidente del Estado, Luis Arce Catacora, afirmó que su gobierno ha diseñado un plan de desarrollo para el Norte paceño con el objetivo de establecer un polo productivo que permita al departamento de La Paz recuperar su hegemonía y volver a ser la primera economía del país.
