Conade and platforms remember the Day of Democratic Reaffirmation

Recordando que en 2019, el gobierno del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) pretendió imponer su voluntad sobre toda la sociedad boliviana, mediante el culto a la personalidad, instaurando un régimen totalitario de base corporativa, bajo el discurso del odio, el Comité Nacional de Defensa de la Democracia (Conade) y plataformas ciudadanas reivindicaron el 10 de noviembre como el día de la “reafirmación democrática” en el país.
Desde el ente defensor de la democracia se recordó que, en 2019 se volvió a reivindicar el resultado del referendo constitucional del 21 de febrero de 2016 en las calles, haciendo respetar la voluntad del soberano y del texto constitucional que pone límites a la repostulación en la elección de cargos públicos.
“Desde el 21 de octubre de 2019 se dio cumplimiento a la resolución del Cabildo realizado en la Plaza de San Francisco diez días antes, que resolvió activar los mecanismos de desobediencia civil democrática para enfrentar la situación del fraude electoral que se manifestaba desde la misma habilitación de los candidatos masistas por el Tribunal Supremo Electoral y sus acciones fraudulentas. Fueron 21 días de movilización nacional profunda y permanente, fue una insurgencia ciudadana de jóvenes, mujeres, familias enteras”, destacan.
Asimismo, se calificó la fecha como el mejor reconocimiento a la gesta democrática que culminó con la huida de Evo Morales y todo su séquito de colaboradores, por lo que el 10 de noviembre quedará en la historia como el día de la “reafirmación democrática”, al ser la expresión de cierre, el corolario de un ciclo histórico donde el ciudadano de a pie salió a las calles a defender su voto y su dignidad.
Asambleístas nacionales, cuyas figuras emergieron de las luchas callejeras exigiendo respeto a la democracia, señalaron que la fecha recuerda haber conseguido parte fundamental del rol histórico de cada boliviano por la defensa de los valores democráticos. “Se logró que Evo Morales renuncie y expusimos su infinita cobardía. Falta mucho que hacer, pero este paso fue fundamental”, expresó el diputado José Manuel Ormachea.
