Retail merchants say that the circulation of dollars in the country is not normal
OBSERVATION. Quispe regretted that the Government reflects another reality to Bolivians when the truth is that in financial institutions you cannot buy foreign currency; she added that most of the members of the retail merchant family are used to paying suppliers in dollars.
The general secretary of the Bolivian Retail Merchants Trade Union Confederation, Mercedes Quisbert, yesterday denied the national government about the supposed normalization of the sale of the US dollar in the country and assured that in the parallel market it is still at Bs 7.8 and you cannot buy the currency in private banking.
“We can not cover the sun with a finger. We know that it is completely false that (the sale of) the dollar has normalized. The dollar has never normalized, the parallel dollar is still at 7.8 (Bolivianos) and is not at 6.96”, declared the union leader.
The leader regretted that the Government reflects another reality to Bolivians when the truth is that in financial institutions you cannot buy foreign currency; she added that most of the members of the union family are used to paying suppliers in dollars.
However, she highlighted that, despite acquiring the products with high costs due to the increase in the price of the dollar in the parallel market, the products in the family basket did not increase and they remain at their same prices.
On July 26, the Minister of Economy and Public Finance, Marcelo Montenegro, reported that the entities belonging to the Association of Private Banks of Bolivia (Asoban) indicated to the Financial System Supervision Authority (ASFI) that the sale of the US dollar it is normalizing.
The lack of the North American currency worsened from February and March of this year, a reality that has not improved to date despite the fact that the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) offers the sale of dollars after processing through a virtual platform.
The Bolivian retail merchant unions will hold an extended meeting that day, starting in the morning in the city of La Paz, where it is expected that they will take pressure measures against the national government.
Among their demands is to completely annul the bill against the legitimization of illegal earnings and they reject electronic invoicing because many of their trade union members are not up to date in managing the platforms via the Internet.

Shortage of dollars remains and banks only deliver Bolivians
Despite the government’s propaganda announcing the normalization of the delivery of dollars in financial institutions, as well as in the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB), retail merchant trade unionists and clients assure that the shortage continues, as the financial entities allege that they will soon receive from the central bank the currency.
Some clients of financial institutions indicated that despite having an account in dollars, the bank indicates that it will deliver bolivianos and not the foreign currency; while others indicated that the information they received is that they will only have foreign currency in October.

OBSERVACIÓN. Quispe lamentó que el Gobierno refleje otra realidad a los bolivianos cuando lo cierto es que en las entidades financieras no se puede comprar la divisa extranjera; añadió que la mayoría de los afiliados a la familia gremial está acostumbrada a pagar en dólares a los proveedores.
La secretaria general de la Confederación de Gremiales de Bolivia, Mercedes Quisbert, desmintió ayer al Gobierno nacional sobre la supuesta normalización de la venta del dólar norteamericano en el país y aseguró que en el mercado paralelo todavía está a Bs 7.8 y no se puede comprar la divisa en la banca privada.
“No podemos tapar el sol con un dedo. Sabemos que es completamente falso de que se ha normalizado (la venta del) dólar. El dólar en ningún momento se ha normalizado, el dólar paralelo sigue en 7.8 (bolivianos) y no está en 6.96”, declaró la dirigente gremial.
La dirigente lamentó que el Gobierno refleje otra realidad a los bolivianos cuando lo cierto es que en las entidades financieras no se puede comprar la divisa extranjera; añadió que la mayoría de los afiliados a la familia gremial está acostumbrada a pagar en dólares a los proveedores.
Sin embargo, resaltó que, a pesar de adquirir los productos con altos costos por el incremento del precio del dólar en el mercado paralelo, no se incrementaron los productos de la canasta familiar y mantienen en sus mismos precios.
El 26 de julio, el ministro de Economía y Finanzas Públicas, Marcelo Montenegro, informó que las entidades aglutinadas en la Asociación de Bancos Privados de Bolivia (Asoban) indicaron a la Autoridad de Supervisión del Sistema Financiero (ASFI) que la venta del dólar norteamericano se va normalizando.
La falta de la divisa norteamericana se agudizó desde febrero y marzo de este año, realidad que no mejoró hasta la fecha a pesar de que el Banco Central de Bolivia (BCB) ofrece la venta de dólares previo trámite por plataforma virtual.
Los gremiales de Bolivia sostendrán un ampliado esa jornada, desde horas de la mañana en la ciudad de La Paz, donde se prevé que tomarán medidas de presión contra el Gobierno nacional.
Entre sus demandas está anular completamente el proyecto de ley contra la legitimación de ganancias ilícitas y rechazan la facturación electrónica porque muchos de sus afiliados gremiales no están actualizados en el manejo de las plataformas vía Internet.

Escasez de dólares se mantiene y bancos solo entregan bolivianos
A pesar de la propaganda del gobierno de anunciar la normalización de la entrega de dólares en las entidades financieras, así como en el Banco Central de Bolivia (BCB), gremialistas y clientes aseguran que la escasez continúa, pues alegan las entidades financieras que recién recibirán del ente emisor la divisa.
Algunos clientes de las entidades financieras indicaron que a pesar de contar con cuenta en dólares, el banco señala que le entregará bolivianos y no la divisa extranjera; mientras otros indicaron que la información que recibieron es que recién en octubre contarán con la moneda extranjera.
