To stop “internal sabotage”
Audits and removal of officials linked to the MAS are demanded
Joining the views that point to alleged “internal sabotage” within state entities in charge of the hydrocarbons sector, the national assemblyman for La Paz, Alejandro Reyes, called on authorities in the area to carry out an internal audit to establish responsibilities and to remove all officials linked to the governments of the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS).
“We’ve heard out there that internal sabotage could exist, and it surely does, because MAS officials have not been removed from the ANH,” Reyes said at a press conference, assuring that this and other agencies are currently not fully complying with their role of verifying and certifying transportation, storage and, above all, the blending process between gasoline and alcohol for sale on the domestic market.
In the legislator’s view, it is necessary for the Ministry of Hydrocarbons to take the steps required to establish responsibility for the recent circulation of low-quality gasoline, identify those responsible in order to sanction them and, above all, begin a renewal of the personnel who have remained in these agencies since the MAS administration.
“An internal audit has to be promoted in the ANH and the removal of all officials who have been linked to gasoline control during the government of Luis Arce must be pursued, starting with one of the heads, Mrs. Margot Ayala,” he said.
Reyes also announced the presentation of a bill to repeal Supreme Decree 5134, which provides for the “blending of gasoline with alcohol up to 25%,” because studies reveal that the blend can only be applied up to a maximum of 12%.
“That decree must be removed from the country’s legal framework to provide security to the Bolivian people,” he concluded.

Piden auditorias y remoción de funcionarios ligados al MAS
Sumándose a los criterios que apuntan a un supuesto “sabotaje interno” en entidades estatales encargadas del tema hidrocarburos, el asambleísta nacional por La Paz, Alejandro Reyes, pidió autoridades del área, una auditoria interna que establezca responsabilidades y la remoción de todos los funcionarios vinculados a los gobiernos del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS).
“Hemos escuchado por ahí que podría existir un sabotaje interno, pues seguramente existe ello, porque no se ha removido a los funcionarios del MAS de la ANH”, sostuvo Reyes en conferencia de prensa, asegurando que actualmente esta y otras instancias no estarían cumpliendo cabalmente con su rol de verificar y certificar los procesos de transporte, almacenamiento y, sobre todo, la mezcla que se realiza entre gasolina y alcohol para la venta en el mercado interno.
En criterio del legislador, es preciso que desde el Ministerio de Hidrocarburos se realicen las gestiones necesarias para establecer responsabilidades por la reciente circulación de gasolina de baja calidad, identificar a los responsables del hecho para su sanción y, sobre todo, iniciar una renovación del personal que permanece en estas instancias desde la gestión del MAS.
“Se tiene que promover una auditoria interna en la ANH y buscar la remoción de todos los funcionarios que han estado vinculados al control de la gasolina durante el gobierno de Luis Arce. Empezando por una de las cabezas que es la señora Margot Ayala”, dijo.
Reyes también anunció la presentación de un proyecto de ley para dejar sin efecto el DS 5134 que dispone la “mezcla de la gasolina con alcohol hasta un 25 %”, debido a que estudios revelan que la mezcla solo puede aplicarse hasta un máximo del 12%.
“Hay que sacar ese decreto de la base normativa del país para dar seguridad al pueblo boliviano”, finalizó.
