Attention, Bolivia! The National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (Senamhi) warned that snowfall will be recorded in the mountain range of the department of La Paz on Friday night and early Saturday morning, urging the population to take precautions.

In addition, the agency reported that rains will continue through the first quarter of 2026, increasing the risk of rising rivers and possible overflows in several regions of the country.

According to Senamhi’s official report, an orange alert for rising water levels is in effect from January 3 to 6 in the departments of La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Beni, Tarija, and Potosí.

Given this situation, it is recommended to avoid walking along riverbanks and ravines, and to stay attentive to official reports, especially in areas vulnerable to flooding and landslides.

Authorities reiterated the call for prevention, as adverse weather conditions could intensify in the coming months.
