Alianza Libre closed its campaign in Santa Cruz with a show at Parque Urbano. The alliance’s candidates were present. The appearance of Paola Aguirre, offering her support to Tuto Quiroga, was a surprise.

The presidential candidate for Alianza Libre, Jorge “Tuto” Quiroga, stressed that if he wins the general elections this Sunday, land titles will be issued individually, no longer communally. “You take care of what is yours,” he announced before dozens of people in Parque Urbano. In the central park of the capital of Santa Cruz, the electoral campaign closing event was organized. Tomorrow, Wednesday, they will hold a similar event in La Paz before the start of the electoral silence period.

“Land will be titled individually, no more communal ownership. What belongs to everyone belongs to no one,” said Quiroga, surrounded by his running mate and candidates for the Chamber of Deputies, Senate, and even in the presence of other opposition political leaders such as Gary Añez, to whom he gave a nod as a possible candidate for mayor in the upcoming subnational elections.

Digitization of Procedures

The former president once again emphasized his promise to digitize various procedures. “We are going to make Bolivia digital—cryptomining in Bolivia, data centers. The advantage is that the entrepreneur in this sector is Bolivian, and he is the Vice President. Everything you need, every procedure you require, you will have on your cell phone.”

Quiroga, like other candidates, also stated that the population no longer needs or wants more blockades. “We do not want a country of blockaders, but of entrepreneurs. We need to reconcile Bolivia. The 20-year cycle is over. Now our challenge is to use the overwhelming parliamentary majority to reconcile the country. Let’s not fall into the trap of being divided.”

He Spoke About Political Prisoners

Tuto assured that “all prisoners will be freed. We are going to free Bolivia and all political prisoners. We do not take advantage of these things,” he pointed out.

The Alianza Libre candidate, along with those from Alianza Unidad, Alianza Popular, and APB-Súmate, did not attend the second debate organized by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, which was taking place that same night in La Paz, as they were holding their respective campaign-closing events.
