They are destroying Bolivia intentionally | Están destruyendo Bolivia, de manera intencionada

By Jimmy Ortiz, El Deber:

I have no doubt that Bolivia is being deliberately destroyed, following the mandates of the transnational 21st Century Socialism (SS XXI), just as they did in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua—and failed to do in Argentina.

It is the classic communist/socialist strategy, aimed at keeping the people poor or miserable, to make them live on their knees before the regime, even in the most basic aspects of human existence, such as employment and food. The patterns of this plan are clearly identifiable in the three aforementioned countries and increasingly in Bolivia as well.

Masismo inherited in 2005 a stable and economically orderly country. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) had grown significantly in the years leading up to Evo Morales’ government, internal and external debt were small, and the country had no fiscal deficit.

And most importantly: the capitalist supercycle of raw materials, which made money rain down on Bolivia like never before. The MAS governments had the good fortune of managing the largest revenues in national history, which made their administration sail smoothly—until the money from the raw materials we exported ran out.

What a paradox of history—that this socialist regime was driven by capitalism!

Yet despite all that bonanza, today the republic is politically, economically, socially, and environmentally destroyed, in a way I never thought I would witness in my long life. But without a doubt, the greatest harm that MAS brought to Bolivia was the destruction of public morals. Today, theft from the State, the mediocrity of public officials, and the lack of decency among the population in general—with honorable exceptions to every rule—are the norm.

Today, in the Knowledge Era, the recipes to lift a country out of poverty and lead it to economic and social success are well known to everyone—especially to Arce Catacora, an economist by profession with a “Master of Science in Economics from the University of Warwick, England” (cubaminrex.cu).

I argue that MAS never had an actual economic model—what it had was an ideological-political model.

How could they expect dollars to exist if they banned our exports?

How could they expect food production if they encouraged the illegal seizure of agricultural properties?

How could they expect employment if they offered no legal security to national investment, let alone foreign investment?

These are just a few obvious contradictions that show the destruction of Bolivia is being coldly and deliberately planned.

When true democracy and sanity return to this country, all those who took part in this planned destruction—which has brought unimaginable suffering to the Bolivian people—should be prosecuted for high treason.

It will not be easy to escape this regime. Not even winning the election will be enough, as the iconic María Corina Machado recently did in Venezuela. Getting rid of this cancer will be incredibly difficult.

It is absolutely clear: the only alternative for Bolivia’s democratic opposition is a unified front—not only to have the highest chances of winning the election, but also to ensure real democracy is respected, as expressed in: a trustworthy voter registry, impartial electoral authorities and regulations, as well as respect for the universally accepted principle of one person, one vote—and ultimately, clean elections without fraud—to rescue this poor homeland from its planned destruction.
