Luis Arce Resembles Siles Zuazo | Luis Arce rima son Siles Zuazo

El Dia:

Luis Arce has once again compared himself to Hernán Siles Zuazo. The first time he did so was when he assumed office in 2020, promising a responsible government staffed with capable individuals, focused on austerity and productivity. The second comparison came a few days ago, finding him defenseless, without proposals, and without ideas to address the crisis that has left the country completely paralyzed, with transportation halted and businesses on the verge of closing due to a lack of dollars. The president does nothing but complain, make a fool of himself with the false coup narrative, and create a spectacle over a gas deposit that promises less than any of the state-owned companies created by the MAS. He claims he is not being allowed to govern because the legislative assembly won’t approve loans to buy fuel. This money will run out in a few days, and then the lines will return, not only for buying fuel but for acquiring even the most basic necessities, as the dollar skyrockets and the Bolivian currency rapidly loses its value. Just like in Siles’ time.
