MAS is a criminal organization | El MAS es una organización criminal

Dirty “suicides”

Dirty panorama. Disgusting. Heart-wrenching. There’s no possible explanation for two former national authorities to have “decided” to end their lives, leaving behind a letter declaring themselves not guilty.

The first case shook the Bolivian public opinion. It affected, causing intense media tremors, but then, as always, it shifted to another topic.

Do you remember, dear reader, the intervention of Banco Fassil? His name was Carlos Colodro. His case was swiftly closed in June 2023, stating that his death was a suicide, despite the family providing statements to the contrary and trying to demonstrate that Colodro wasn’t in a situation that would lead him to such extreme measures.

Amidst a dense legal fog, where against all usual practice, the coroner and the prosecutor quickly declared Colodro’s death a suicide.

However, the deceased’s family lawyer, Jorge Valda, revealed that the corpse was missing one eyeball and one testicle, and “did not rule out” that he had been murdered. “There were stab wounds on the arms, back, and all over the body,” he told the media. He explained that on Saturday, Mother’s Day in Bolivia, Colodro had lunch with his family, with whom he had a “normal conversation,” and towards five in the afternoon, he had gone to work in the building across from where his body was found hours later.

Just a few days ago, on April 24, after numerous accusations against Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos, and its poor management during Morales’ government, Juan Carlos Montenegro, former manager of this public institution, was found dead.

He left a posthumous letter denouncing that 96 feeder pools of raw materials were abandoned during Arce’s government, because they decided to switch technologies and opt for Direct Lithium Extraction.

According to Montenegro, the accusations against him and other former officials seek to conceal the government’s failure in its Direct Lithium Extraction strategy. He wrote that he was innocent and would not submit to being humiliated by a rigged justice system. I wonder, who writes a letter minutes before supposedly dying of a heart attack, as the government authorities claim?

A heart attack is not something you do to yourself. It just happens.

Montenegro’s death occurred in a context where he was being investigated alongside other former authorities for irregularities in the construction of 18 evaporation pools at the industrial plant for lithium carbonate. According to a specialized audit, the economic damage to the state amounted to 425 million bolivianos.

These cases are related to large-scale theft within and outside the Central Government, involving people connected to it. These are not accidental deaths. They are dirty suicides.

MAS is a criminal organization that acts just like its partners, the cartels, who indeed keep them in power, under the guise of equality and sovereignty with an indigenous face.

Will there be an end to this Era of Terror? Or will we continue to believe that voting for the lesser evil will be the solution?
