Not one more peso of loans | Ni un peso más de préstamo

Fabian Freire, El Diario:

“Luchito” is in the most critical moment of his administration, practically nothing is going well for him; to make matters worse, the “natural disasters” and the weather are increasing desperation and crisis in our country. Everyone is against “Luchito” and there is a small sentiment that he will not finish his term.

The president in his recent public appearances also does not seem to be at “100%”, it is evident that both he and his team are worn out by the management carried out. So much so, that they are not promoting him as much anymore to achieve reelection; it seems that “Luchito’s” candidacy is no longer secure.

The news is focused on the fights that occur within the Legislature, over the approval of external loans. The opposition is fighting to resolve the issue of judicial elections and self-extension, while the “arcismo” wants to approve loans as quickly as possible.

It is worth noting that if something has been widely discussed in Congress during “Luchito’s” administration, it is the granting of loans. Arce and the MAS legislators have excelled in indebting all Bolivians.

Taking on debt makes sense if you ensure that your debt finances productive sectors and becomes a long-term investment for the nation. The MAS’s indebtedness, on the other hand, is synonymous with waste and inconsistency; due to their lack of vision and nationalism, they are “selling” our homeland and its inhabitants in exchange for credits that are squandered and serve no purpose.

It is astonishing how the MAS lacks any awareness of our country’s situation; instead of tightening their belts, they continue to indebt us, which will inevitably lead to bankruptcy.

But in all this situation of loan approval, the MAS is showing a facet of desperation rarely seen. This situation has reached the point where MAS shock groups have taken over the Legislative Assembly and are “forcing” Congress to approve the loans, similar to what happened with the drafting of the current Constitution. The legitimacy of this is the subject of another article.

Many argue that this is a blow to the Legislature, which I agree with, how is it possible for shock groups to enter Congress and submit legislators to their will? It is unheard of, and the promoters of this must be severely punished.

In the case of approved loans, we would be facing a very serious situation of illegitimacy and further indebtedness that only “commits” our people. Regardless of the outcome with these loans, the slogan that all opponents of the current administration must adopt is not one more peso of loans.

Not allowing more loans to be approved is the most patriotic action that our legislators can take at this moment. Enough of indebting Bolivia, enough of compromising the future of new generations, enough of atrocious waste, enough of useless economic policies, and above all, enough of the MAS loan model.

Evo Morales was one of the greatest squanderers in our history, but “Luchito” is much worse, especially since he is the master at demanding international loans, which are expensive and serve no useful purpose.

It is ideal that no economic measures be approved in the legislature; it is the most beneficial for the country.

Every law made by the current administration and its legislators is an insult to the nation; these proposals are absurd and go against all our national interests.

At the beginning of this article, I mentioned that granting loans is not a bad thing when it has a good destination and, above all, a solid administration that knows what the country needs.

In our country, this is not the case; “Luchito” and his “dignified” cabinet are leading us to total ruin, they are managing to destroy our nation, which is unforgivable and unacceptable.
