The plague

As the black and bubonic plagues, which killed thousands of people, corruption in politics is a plague. It did not send to the other world any corrupt person; however, masked, discovered or not, this plague kills the confidence of citizens and disqualifies the political practice as a service to society in a transparent manner and with accountability.

In the current Government, corruption is an almost habitual behavior, which do not wince Evo Morales nor to his men, disguised as democrats, but tributaries of unsettled dictatorships that nullify the independence of powers to manage the judiciary at its free discretion. That is, to avoid that the independent justice with righteous judges and prosecutors put a stop to their abuse to destroy the opposition through crimes against human rights, civil and political, as well as serious acts of corruption, such as those that revolve around drug trafficking and smuggling.

They appear ‘distracted’, as they admit that to exert a political office is an occasion to enrich their allies, ignoring cultural and ethical norms that incriminate all kinds of corruption.

And suddenly the truth truncates the enrichment of some corrupt and leaves in the ridicule look the anti-corruption Minister. What does she control? Today it is known that the newly mess discovered as a result of the detention, imprisonment, extortion and robbery inflicted by four hands to an American citizen – Jacob Ostreicher – is not an isolated event.

Uncovering this issue has not been due to the ruling party, as its members and acolytes boast, but the interest of the United States Government over the fate of its citizen, victim of a criminal network of extortionist, formed by officials of the judiciary and by his own accusers, Fernando Rivera Tardio and Denis Rodas Limachi. Both characters, as legal Directors of the Ministry of Government, for five years and during the exercise of four Ministers, were arrested in Tarija while they were attending a final hearing of the terrorist – separatist plot against citizens of the East, the called ‘autonomist half-moon’.

It is not fortuitous that Rivera and Rodas were the accusers who have sent to jail and exile to 39 people, under the syndication of terrorism and separatism without any evidence, and blackmailed without measure or clemency by the famous Prosecutor Marcelo Soza as well. It is confirmed that the bombs that exploded in the homes of a Government Senator and of the {Catholic) Cardinal Julio Terrazas, in April 2009, were planted by agents of the Ministry of Government. Hence the title of the terrorist plot, practiced by the Government itself.

The two officials in question, also filed the complaint against leaders of the indigenous territory and Isiboro Sécure National Park [TIPNIS] by the invented kidnapping of Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca during the eighth march of indigenous people of the East in defense of the Park, in 2011.

The ‘plurificciones’ [playing with words: current government changed the status of Bolivia, from Republic to a pluri-national State; so here it says pluri + fiction] Government will now submit scapegoats in bulk. But nothing exempts the ‘bosses’ of the doings of their staff or pressures exercised to reverse court rulings favorable to different people charged, as in the case of the so-called rebel Councillors of Santa Cruz municipality. They knew, because they manipulated orders, except the rude looting, perhaps. Meanwhile, corruption, like the plague, will continue brewing by all the cracks of a Government without ethics or aesthetics.
