El Dia reports today that the land titles given by the central government over two months ago are of no value. ANAPO (vegetable oil) organization hosted an event where current president gave 1,046 of those titles to the members of this organization.
It was an important event that the government used to show that central government also cares and works for Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, around 900 of those titles did not have the signature of the Land Tenure Office (INRA), so they are of no value.
ANAPO’s president, Demetrio Perez said they put those 900 titles in boxes and sent them back to La Paz; to date those farmers still can not claim legally their land.
