1. TIPNIS: the protest walk from Trinidad to La Paz (Aug 15), demanding road between Villa Tunari (Cochabamba) to San Ignacio de Moxos (Beni) does not cut in half the TIPNIS protected area.
2. Potosi: the Civic Committee will start “mobilizations” (Aug 15) as a result of last year’s 19 day strike which resulted in a series of unmet demands until now.
3. El Alto: intends to start protests (Aug 15) demanding the National Census to take place ASAP; census which was scheduled for 2010. Current government intends to conduct it in 2012 with results by 2013 and budget re-allocations in 2014; which are El Alto’s main concern, to have more funding for their publicly funded infrastructure.

Please do keep in mind that national elections are coming sooner than later in Bolivia; so there will be increasing numbers of anxious politicians eager to build up their careers…
