This is the route of the protest, from Beni to La Paz; they estimate a walk between 30 to 35 days; it is scheduled to start on August 15, 2011.

Pedro Nuni, a National Assembly (former Congress) member (who was elected under the auspices of current political party in government, from whom he is taking distance as a result of this issue), representing the Indigenous People, said they have a voice of their own, they want to make their case and will walk in protest of the intended road that aims at cutting in half the TIPNIS protected area. The road Villa Tunari – San Ignacio de Moxos, if it crosses the TIPNIS, it would deforest an estimated 195,000 hectares in three years, Nuni said. He also said “… Without territory there is no culture”
