Typica, the Bolivian coffee shop, has consolidated its place among the 100 best in the world according to The World’s Best Coffee Shops 2025–2026 ranking, occupying 33rd place globally. This recognition highlights the quality of Bolivian coffee and the expertise of the professionals who work in the sector within the country.

“It is a source of pride for our country to have professionals and spaces of this level, which represent the potential of Bolivian products and enterprises to occupy prominent positions in the gastronomic sector worldwide,” said the Vice Minister of Gastronomy, Sumaya Prado, while celebrating this achievement of entrepreneurs Fabio Arandia, Miguel Cordero, Norma Chávez, and Marcelo Sierra.

The ranking evaluates coffee shops based on criteria such as coffee quality, barista experience, customer service, innovation, food quality, and consistency. The voting combines public opinion, which represents 30% of the score, and evaluations by specialty coffee experts, baristas, and roasters, with a weight of the remaining 70%.

For Miguel Cordero, partner at Typica, this recognition is an achievement they are grateful for to “all the people who support us day by day, the people in the industry, and the entire team.” “It is an honor to represent Bolivia and to leave the name of the country and Bolivian coffee high, showing not only the quality of the coffee, but also the capability of the professionals,” he added.

Typica was born in 2015 as a dream of four young Bolivians passionate about coffee. Today they have 12 branches in Bolivia and two brand models abroad, one in Brazil and another in Paraguay, consolidating themselves as an international reference for Bolivian specialty coffee.

“We are demonstrating that Bolivia is growing in everything and that it should be known that the country can be a reference both in coffee quality and in professional roasters and baristas,” Cordero emphasized.
