In a context in which mobilizations against Supreme Decree 5503 are still taking place, the Confederation of Entrepreneurs said that a shared vision of the country is required to restore dialogue and trust.

“Bolivia demands less confrontation and more consensus; less distrust and more cooperation. The future is not built on intolerance and violence, but on work, responsibility, and respect for the Law,” states the year-end message released by the Confederation of Private Entrepreneurs of Bolivia (CEPB).

The message comes at a time when sectors such as the Bolivian Workers’ Center (COB) are maintaining mobilizations against Supreme Decree 5503, staging strikes and promoting marches against the reforms pushed by the administration of Rodrigo Paz.

“We need a shared vision of the country to restore dialogue and mutual trust. In times of difficulty, polarization and confrontation only deepen the crisis,” the business sector’s message adds.

The CEPB also notes that the year is ending amid difficulties, but at the same time profound transformations, during which democratic maturity was put to the test, resulting in “a change of course that led us from uncertainty to hope” and in choosing “a government that is giving us back faith, order, and stability.”

“The coming year challenges us to continue moving forward in the reconstruction of the country. We need clear rules, legal certainty, social stability, and policies that encourage production, investment, and decent employment,” the CEPB emphasizes.

The institution concludes its message by stating that Bolivia can recover, grow, and once again believe in itself, but that this requires responsibility, leadership, sincere dialogue, and a shared vision of the country, underscoring that there is no individual way out of a collective crisis.
