Cervecería Boliviana Nacional (CBN) signs alliance with startup “Inmersiva, Ecological Stationery”

On Friday morning, Cervecería Boliviana Nacional (CBN) signed an alliance with the startup “Inmersiva, Ecological Stationery” with the goal of promoting the reuse of unused materials and thereby creating sustainable products. This partnership strengthens both organizations’ commitment to the circular economy.

Inmersiva specializes in the production of stationery and promotional materials made from recycled paper combined with seeds. Now, in order to expand its work, it has launched the program “Inmersiva Lab,” which will focus on cleaning out company warehouses and storage areas to collect unused paper, wood, and other materials, giving them new life by transforming them into eco-friendly products.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to achieving our sustainability goals and promoting the circular economy, with this partnership we are becoming the first company to open its doors to this initiative. We are making our warehouses and salesrooms available so that Inmersiva can make use of these physical resources and turn them into useful and sustainable products,” said Omar Herrera, Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs at CBN.

This collaboration also reinforces Cervecería Boliviana Nacional’s continued support for local startups, demonstrating how innovation and talent can contribute to global sustainability goals. “At CBN, we foster the growth of initiatives that generate shared value and concrete solutions to the country’s environmental challenges. Inmersiva is an example of how, through Aceleradora 100+, we support innovative projects with a positive impact,” added the executive.

In 2024, Inmersiva stood out as a finalist in the third edition of Aceleradora 100+, an initiative by the brewing company that supports the execution of innovative projects focused on water management, circular economy, and climate action. During this process, the startup created “CBN paper,” made from barley left over from beer production. This material is also used to make promotional items, which additionally require recycled paper and functional seeds for their production. These products, besides being recyclable, are capable of germinating after use, reduce solid waste, and lower the company’s environmental footprint.

Now, with Inmersiva Lab, the aim is to generate a positive environmental and social impact, since cleaning out storage spaces and collecting materials involves vulnerable groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, and grassroots recyclers, promoting dignified employment and inclusion. “We are a different kind of stationery option, building a more responsible future, and we hope that other actors, as CBN has done, will join this cause to promote the circular economy and protect the environment,” said Mariana Hermosa, Co-founder of Inmersiva.
