Pre-candidate Jaime Dunn proposed this Friday the public debate as the mechanism to choose the sole candidate to participate in the general elections scheduled for next August 17.

“I enter the electoral race to propose the debate as the mechanism for pre-selecting the sole candidate, not a survey of just three thousand people. I enter the electoral race to challenge my rivals,” said Dunn, as quoted by Unitel.

The opposition unity bloc proposed three simultaneous surveys to determine who will be the candidate of that group.

Dunn, an economist by profession, who confirmed this week that he will present his candidacy for the Presidency, stated that it is important to discuss the national reality, also because it will help the population.

“As we know, the candidate who emerges from a survey has the right vision for Bolivia. We must forget about surveys and numbers that come out, we must discuss the national reality, and that will help the people,” asserted the pre-candidate.

The unity bloc has Samuel Doria Medina and Jorge Quiroga as its main figures, while on the other side, Manfred Reyes Villa is running, and there is uncertainty about what will happen with the candidates of the Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS) and former President Evo Morales.
