A miracle occurred amid a tragedy at an importer near the old Los Pozos market in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. More than 24 hours after the flames were controlled, a dog was found alive.
The firefighters, while attending to the emergency, first rescued five cats and were unable to locate the dog. Major Carlos Canaviri of the Police Firefighters in Santa Cruz reported that day, “We presumed that, in trying to escape the fire, the animal ended up getting caught in it.”
However, more than 24 hours after the flames were controlled, the dog was found alive, hidden on the third floor of the business that had caught fire.
Canaviri mentioned that on the day of the fire, the owner showed more concern for his pets than for the material losses caused by the flames.

He detailed that the dog had no injuries, only damage to her eye from the accumulation of gases.
The pet was returned to its owners, who explained on social media that there is an apartment in the building where they lived with the animals. “Thank God she is fine, thank God she’s okay, I even thought she was lost,” said the owner when he received the animal.
The man assured that the dog is part of his family. “Nothing else matters, only that she is fine,” he said.

Un milagro sucedió en medio de una tragedia en una importadora por el mercado antiguo Los Pozos, en Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Más de 24 horas después de controlada las llamas, se halló a una perrita viva.
Los bomberos, en medio de la atención de la emergencia, rescataron primero a cinco gatos y no lograron ubicar a la perrita. El mayor Carlos Canaviri, de los Bomberos de la Policía en Santa Cruz, informaba esa jornada “presumimos que, por escapar el fuego, (el animal) terminó entrando a él”.
Sin embargo, más de 24 horas después de controlada las llamas, hallaron viva a la perrita, estaba escondida en el tercer piso del negocio que se incendió.
Canaviri señaló que el día del incendio el propietario mostraba más afán por sus mascotas que por las pérdidas materiales que estaba teniendo por las llamas.

Detalló que la perrita no tiene heridas, solo un daño en el ojo, por la acumulación de gases.
La mascota fue entregada a sus dueños, quienes explicaron en redes sociales que en el inmueble hay un departamento donde vivían con los animales. “Gracias a Dios no tiene nada, gracias a Dios está bien, hasta yo la daba por perdida”, dijo el propietario cuando recibió al animal.
El hombre aseguró que la perrita es parte de su familia. “Ya nada importa, solo que ella está bien”, dijo.
