They see forcefulness in response from the European Union to Arce’s speech

After the response of the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Common Security Policy, Josep Borell, rejecting the Government’s accusations about the participation of this body in the alleged coup of 2019, analysts agree in pointing out that the position was forceful and highlights the plan of the ruling party to position the theory of the coup in all areas.
Analysts consulted by EL DIARIO assure that the European Union’s response to President Arce’s recent accusations has been the most forceful to date, reiterating that in 2019 there was no coup d’état as insistently proposed by the ruling party.
For analyst Carlos Cordero, this is the first time that a clear and forceful message has been sent from this international instance, ruling out the supposed coup d’état.
“It is one of the first times that the European Union pronounces itself with such clarity and forcefulness, however, on behalf of the government these clarifications about what happened in October 2019 have served to confirm that the MAS, with Evo Morales, have decided to position this theory of the coup at all costs,” he said.
Similar criteria were expressed by José Luís Bedregal, who questioned the “lightness” with which the Bolivian government acts on international stages in order to position a speech, a fact that has a cost for the country.
“The EU’s response is forceful, it is solid and it marks a greater distance from the Bolivian State, because what Bolivia needs are more facilities, support and investments. We don’t need to be at odds with the powers of the world”, he stated.
He also argued that the Bolivian government’s recent accusations against the EU not only damage relations between states but may even affect possible foreign investments, which have recently been reduced. “These unnecessary distances are detrimental to Bolivians,” he said.
For Cordero, the impasses of the MAS government correspond to a “controversy of the deaf” since the regime and Evo Morales will continue with their positioning strategy around the alleged coup in 2019, while the European Union will turn the page and continue to support the country and region in different areas.
He concluded by warning that the ruling party does not show the slightest intention to change its speech, so the recent controversy may be repeated in the future and other instances.
“As long as the MAS is in power, it will continue to insist on its point of view and it will be other times and other generations that tell the facts impartially and not in the way it is done today,” he said. .

Tras la respuesta del Alto Representante de la Unión Europea (UE) para Asuntos Exteriores y Política de Seguridad Común, Josep Borell, rechazando las acusaciones del Gobierno sobre la participación de este organismo en el supuesto golpe de Estado de 2019, analistas coinciden en señalar que la posición fue contundente y pone en evidencia el plan del oficialismo para posicionar la teoría del golpe en todo ámbito.
Analistas consultados por EL DIARIO aseguran que la respuesta de la Unión Europea a las recientes acusaciones del presidente Arce han sido las más contundentes hasta el momento, reiterando que en el 2019 no hubo un golpe de Estado como se plantea con insistencia desde el oficialismo.
Para el analista Carlos Cordero, se trata de la primera vez que desde esta instancia internacional se manda un mensaje claro y contundente, descartando el supuesto golpe de Estado.
“Es una de las primeras veces que la Unión Europea se pronuncia con tanta claridad y contundencia, sin embrago, de parte del gobierno estas aclaraciones sobre lo ocurrido en octubre del 2019, han servido para confirmar que el MAS, con Evo Morales, han decidido posicionar a toda costa esta teoría del golpe”, sostuvo.
Similares criterios fueron expresados por José Luís Bedregal, quien cuestionó la “ligereza” con que el gobierno boliviano actúa en escenarios internacionales con la finalidad de posicionar un discurso, hecho que tiene un costo para el país.
“La respuesta de la UE es contundente, es sólida y marca un mayor distanciamiento con el Estado boliviano, porque lo que Bolivia necesita son más facilidades, apoyo e inversiones. No necesitamos estar pelados con las potencias del mundo”, afirmó.
Sostuvo además que las recientes acusaciones del Gobierno boliviano contra la UE no solo dañan relaciones entre Estados sino pueden llegar a afectar posibles inversiones extranjeras, que en el último tiempo se han reducido. “Estos distanciamiento innecesarios van en desmedro de los bolivianos”, dijo.
Para Cordero, los impases del gobierno masista corresponden a una “polémica de sordos” pues el régimen y Evo Morales continuarán con su estrategia de posicionamiento alrededor del supuesto golpe en 2019, en tanto que la Unión Europea volteará la página y continuará con el apoyo al país y la región en distintos ámbitos.
Finalizó advirtiendo que el partido oficialista no demuestra tener la menor intención de cambiar en su discurso, por lo que la reciente controversia puede repetirse en el futuro y otras instancias.
“Mientras el MAS esté en el poder, va a seguir insistiendo en su punto de vista y serán otros tiempos y otras generaciones las que cuenten los hechos de manera imparcial y no de la forma en que se lo hace en la actualidad”, afirmó.
El jueves, mediante su cuenta oficial en la red social Twitter, el Alto Representante de la Unión Europea para Asuntos Exteriores y Política de Seguridad Común, Josép Borell, rechazó las acusaciones del Gobierno boliviano sobre la supuesta participación de este organismo internacional en el golpe de Estado de 2019, argumento que es posicionado por el oficialismo para perseguir a opositores.
“Rechazo con firmeza acusación de supuesta participación de UE en un golpe de Estado en Bolivia en 2019. La UE ayudó en los esfuerzos para evitar violencia y promover diálogo. La UE trabaja por una relación constructiva con Bolivia basada en un respeto mutuo”, señala el mensaje compartido por Borrell y replicado posteriormente por la cuenta oficial de la Misión de la Unión Europea en Bolivia.
