Former magistrate who endorsed the re-nomination of Evo heads INRA
Cortez is the third ex-magistrate hired by the Government, of the six former authorities that endorsed the indefinite re-election.
The former magistrate of the Plurinational Constitutional Court Macario Lahor Cortez was appointed director of the National Institute of Agrarian Reform (INRA). He, along with other ex-magistrates, endorsed the indefinite reelection of President Evo Morales.
Cortez is the third ex-magistrate hired by the Government, of the six former authorities that endorsed the indefinite re-election. He was named and placed in office on Tuesday. INRA reports to the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands, headed by Minister César Cocarico.
The new INRA authority made its sworn statement in the Comptroller General of the State on Wednesday, replacing the lawyer Beatriz Yuque Apaza.
In addition to Cortez, Oswaldo Valencia, Zenón Bacarreza, Mirtha Camacho, Ruddy Flores and Neldy Andrade signed the constitutional sentence that empowers Morales and Álvaro García Linera, to run for the fourth consecutive time to the positions of president and vice president.
The Government after a couple of months, has been hiring the magistrates who supported the re-election of the leaders.
Rudy Flores, first held the position of Director of Legal Affairs in the Foreign Ministry, then was appointed Minister Counselor of the diplomatic representation of Bolivia before international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland.
Later, Neldy Andrade was hired by the Mining Administrative Jurisdictional Authority under the Ministry of Mining and Metallurgy headed by César Navarro.
