The Bolivian responded with two consecutive breaks of serve in set number two, opening a 5-2 gap before he closed the set with a hold at 15 in game 10 to send the match into a decider.

The momentum was on his side and he broke Bagnis in games one, three and seven to create the crucial gap and bring the match home with a hold in game eight to celebrate the biggest success in a career so far.
