ABT: heat sources in Beni quadrupled this year compared to 2015
The Authority of Supervision and Social Control of Forests and Land (ABT) reported Tuesday [07/26/2016] that sources of heat in the Beni quadrupled this year to 9,333, from January to yesterday, compared to 2,226 recorded in the same period of 2015.
“If we get percentages, there are four times above the amount of heat sources in the previous year,” explained the technical support of the ABT in Beni, Ronny Oliva.
According to the ABT, in the same period of 2014 there were 2.644 hot spots recorded.
At the departmental level, the municipality with more heat sources is Exaltation, with 2,473; 908 Santa Ana, 752 San Andrés and 682 San Ramon, among others.
We continue to lose our biodiversity and there are no control whatsoever! This government lied big time when they proclaimed as defenders of mother nature!
