We are loosing our CERRO RICO, and the world knows about this disgrace!

I am sad and upset, despite the fact that it is our NATIONAL EMBLEM, not only is central part of our our Code of Arms but also belongs in our History, ever since the Colony to date.

The Cerro Rico, is systematically been destroyed. And now it is part of the infamous, yet credible tag of: go visit before it is destroyed!

Here is the excerpt from “11 Places To See Before They’re Gone”

What you’ll see: Sitting on top of the world at 13,420 feet, Potosí is one of the highest cities in the world. Visiting one of the silver mines is considered the most memorable part of many trips.

Why it’s in danger: Unfortunately, although Potosí was once regarded as the world’s largest industrial complex in the 16th century, hundreds of years of mining have left the mountain porous and unstable.

As you can read, Bolivia is in the verge of losing one of our greatest landmarks, our heritage! Please help disseminate this unfortunate news, so that something can get done?

In my humble opinion, mining has to stop there, not only to save the Cerro Rico but human lives as well. People engaged in work over there, must change their work or place, it is not safe anymore!
