La Paz is owned by TIPNIS!

La Paz recovered its status as the center of Bolivia, in terms of the XX century “melting pot” condition, Bolivian citizenship and respect to one another. The TIPNIS protest-walk group stopped by the Cathedral in Plaza Murillo, despite initial governmental signals to keep marchers out of what current government felt as “their” plaza. TV showed lots of people, all social conditions were united to greet and celebrate TIPNIS arrival to La Paz, city.

This picture is from Pagina Siete website, it portrays how the streets of La Paz looked by the passing of the proud marchers, they were received as heroes.

La Razon’s website at 15:38 reported that the marchers were in San Francisco, a Mass will be given to thank for their arrival. People of all ages, some with red eyes greeted the TIPNIS defenders. Reporters from Laser radio spoke with bystanders who, emotionally, were commending the indigenous people. “THey are heroes, have walked so much in defense of the environment,” said one person trying to hold back his tears.

La Prensa website provides this photo which also portrays another street crowded with people greeting the marchers, after 62 days of a long, hard, difficult walk from Trinidad to La Paz.

There is hope that current Bolivian president abolish the “short Law” and cancels forever the road through the TIPNIS, say the indigemous people.
